What Charlie Wore | Socklings Socks

This post is sponsored by Socklings. All opinions are my own.

When I was pregnant, I started looking at baby girl styles and trends. I consider myself to be relatively trendy and I was so excited to have a little girl to dress up! I saw so many adorable Instagram photos of baby girls in knee-high and thigh-high socks and I thought it was the cutest thing EVER. But, (for me anyway) I had trouble finding somewhere that I could just order a few prints of long socks and stock up. Fast forward to a year later when I found Socklings!

I was immediately drawn to their fun, colorful prints. They are even more gorgeous in person than in photos! They are soft and cozy, too. The best part about long socks is that they STAY. ON. If you have ever had a baby, you know what I am talking about. It can be nearly impossible to keep socks on. Another benefit to the long socks is that they double as knee protectors for crawling, and leg warmers around the house when pants just aren’t necessary. Pants complicate diaper changes anyway. AMIRIGHT?!

You may have noticed by now that I have a soft spot for Mom-Owned businesses. I love to watch other mamas hustle to make their dreams come true. Ericka, the owner, is such a sweetheart and I believe that positive energy can be the difference in failing or succeeding! Her MAIN GOAL with this business is one that will melt your heart. The following is an excerpt from their website:

“We at Socklings may have many goals, but our biggest goal by far is to become a “Buy One, Give One” Company and GIVE a pair of Socklings to a child with disabilities with every pair of Socklings purchased.

Many children have conditions that cause them to need leg braces or to be in the hospital for extended periods; Rett Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Hip Dysplasia.. the list can go on and on. The medical devices, while crucial to assisting with each child’s quality of life, can begin to chafe and pinch their skin. Socklings wants to help provide some extra comfort to protect those little legs and bring a smile to that little child’s face by giving them something bright, colorful, and fun to cover both legs and feet. It just takes a small purchase to allow those dreams to become a reality.”

My best friend’s daughter (essentially, my niece), was bed bound and commonly hospitalized due to a chromosomal disorder. She passed away at three years old. She meant so much to me. Special needs children have a variety of challenges, but warm and cozy socks could make one thing just a little easier for them. Businesses who are thinking beyond profit margins and doing what they can for others deserve our support!

Check out Socklings, and give them a follow on Instagram to keep up with new designs!
