or the sake of reference, you should know that I am obsessed with anything true crime. I am addicted to all things Investigation Discovery, Forensic Files, you name it. For some reason, I am extremely interested in crime and the patterns of violence in our society. I grew up with a Dad who was (and still is) extremely protective and hyper-vigilant. From a very early age, I was taught to be aware of my surroundings at all times, knew basic self defense tricks, and was constantly reminded not to look at the world through rose colored glasses. Danger is a reality and it is out there. As a female, I’m statistically more at risk. Needless to say, my safety has always been on the forefront of my mind.
Now that I am a mother, It’s my safety plus two defenseless children’s safety as well. Now more than ever, I keep my head on a swivel.
