Style Has No Size | Versatile Smock Dress

I’m really excited to introduce you to a fun series I’m doing with my friend, Elly Brown of Uptown With Elly Brown. While Elly is a legit, full-time fashion blogger, I also have a closeted affinity for styling my outfits. Admittedly, as I gained weight over the last few years, I lost some of my passion for fashion. I have had trouble figuring out how to dress my plus-sized self, and sometimes it’s downright daunting. That’s why I was so thrilled to embark on this little project with Elly. It gave me the motivation to style something for FUN, while showing you guys how one piece can work on two very different bodies.

I have to say, one of my favorite wardrobe pieces to have stocked for Spring and Summer is a versatile smock dress. They are usually so comfortable, cute and easy to dress up or down. I have a ton of these in my closet, but this one from ASOS is brand new (and under $40)! Bonus- it also comes in petite, tall, and plus sizing.

Elly and I have very different styles, so we were able to show two different ways to style this dress. I usually go for a more minimal, neutral look- while Elly prefers more accessorizing and glamorizing. All I added to the dress were a simple cognac colored faux leather crossbody, and these amazing platform oxfords. As you can see in Elly’s post– it would also be great with a cute jacket and leopard slides. It’s such a neutral dress that the sky is the limit with changing up the look.

What do you think? Should we keep showing you how #stylehasnosize?!
