I love festive Autumn decor just as much as the next girl, but I wanted to to give a few hints on how to decorate for the season in a more subtle way. As in, you don’t have to go crazy with themed items to make your home feel cozy for the Fall. In fact, I always prefer to do as many neutral items as possible so that I can use them in some way, year round.
Find a spot in your home where you have some space to create a cute corner or vignette. I have a wicker trunk in my living room that I have pushed against the wall to double as additional seating and storage. I thought it would be a great place to “cozy up” for Fall. It was so easy to find a few items that subtly made the space more appropriate for cooler weather and everything that comes with this time of year.
Dried cotton stems will forever remind me of Fall. As a Georgia native, I have many memories of driving past cotton fields on the way to see my Grandparents for Thanksgiving, which is subsequently around harvest time. I arranged a few candles in the tray along with a few cotton boles in a vase. I added a warm knitted throw and a couple of comfy pillows to make the space welcoming. A few accents like this can make a huge difference.
Wayfair has a ton of great options for Autumn Accents, but I rounded up a few of my very favorites for you. You might recognize a few of these things from the little spot in my home.
Happy Shopping and Happy Fall!
