I can’t believe I FINALLY have a newborn to talk about with you guys! I have been dying to test out some of the products that have been laying around in boxes waiting for Mister Lincoln to make his arrival. He’s been around a week now (WHAT?!) and I have a list for you. I will keep you posted on the best products I find as we go, but for the very early days- these things are all phenomenal to have on hand.
The holy grail, y’all. I am sad that this is the only baby I have had this for! You’ve probably heard the buzz, but just in case you haven’t, this contraption is amazing for newborns. It has multiple swinging/swaying pattern options for lulling baby to sleep. There are several relaxing noise settings and even an option to plug in auxiliary cord and play your own music. Lincoln LOVES being in the Mamaroo!
This is the exact wrap that I have had with both Charlie and Lincoln, down to the print. It’s my favorite for the first few months, especially as a multi-tasking mom. I can strap Lincoln to my chest and he is protected from his crazy toddler sister AND I have free hands. I have tried multiple wraps and Solly is the highest quality, coolest fabric, easiest to maneuver, and has the cutest prints.
I am lucky enough to get to try lots of samples in the baby arena, so I have tested lots of baby toiletries. Tubby Todd smells amazing and really, what else matters?! I kid. Chemicals matter, too, and Tubby Todd products have none. WIN. My favorite thing is the new baby spray. It’s heaven in a bottle.
Aden & Anais is another brand I have been using since the beginning of time. I love all things muslin and bamboo and they have me covered. I have everything from their crib sheets to bibs to swaddles and blankets to bath towels! They are my go-to for baby nursery linens.
This is the handiest little compact nasal aspirator, ever! I do love the manual ones, but this battery operated one is super easy and convenient to use. In the newborn phase, it can be hard to get them to clear their little nose without some help. This thing makes it easy and quick.
The quintessential baby photo app is here! This is a mom owned small business, which makes me love it even more. You can take photos and add text and graphics. It’s like a virtual scrapbook, but the bonus is that you can actually print them and put them in a cute album! Go download it.
This is another app that every new mom needs. In fact I talked about it in one of my first blog posts after Charlie was born. It gives you a heads up on what stage of development your newborn is in and what to expect in the coming days. There are periods of time that are definitely challenging, such as growth spurts and “leaps” and this app will help you navigate them. It’s a MUST HAVE.
Summer Infant Right Height® Bath Tub
Coolest baby bath ever, y’all. It transitions from a newborn hammock to a tall version of a baby bath (easy to reach), to a lower baby bath, and then to a step stool for a toddler. You have to check it out. I know it will wind up on your registry.
SwaddleMe® Deluxe By Your Side™ Sleeper
We practice safe co-sleeping, and this is a crucial part of helping that happen! This is a co-sleeper with mesh sides that breathes and safely secures your tiny one while they sleep. This is my favorite “in the bed” co-sleeper for sure. It also has some other cool features you can check out on the website!
This brand has a variety of zip up swaddles that also promote safe and cozy sleep for your baby. The zipper feature ensures they don’t get tangled up or “unwound” and the swaddling keeps their moro-reflex in check so that they can sleep more soundly.
Skip Hop GREENWICH Simply Chic Diaper Backpack
You HAVE to have a backpack style diaper bag. Just trust me, ok? It’s a thousand times easier to haul stuff with a backpack as opposed to hanging something over your shoulder, especially if you are wearing a baby on the front. This Skip Hop bag is one of my very favorites and it can be used as a regular bag once the baby phase is over.
I realize this stroller is on the pricey side, and I was so honored to have a chance to review it. However, if you can budget it in, this stroller is 100% worth every penny. The bassinet attachment is absolutely perfect for newborns and I probably got ten compliments when we were out with it the other day. I also have the toddler seat to attach and make it a double. It’s luxury, but totally justifiable when it’s something you use that much.
Several of these items were gifted to me in exchange for my review. All opinions are always 100% mine.
