How To Diaper Bomb The New Mom

It’s BABY SEASON! What is baby season? It’s the most common time people are giving birth! In the U.S., nearly 12,250 babies are born in the late summer/early fall months. When I worked in Labor & Delivery, we pretty much knew that no one was getting time off in August or September…ever. All three of my babies were born in this time frame, too! More babies mean more baby showers, more baby gifts, and maybe even a baby of your own to buy for (like me).

In my case, and many other moms of multiple kids, a shower isn’t planned. However, friends and family still want to contribute to the new family. One of the BEST ways I have found to do this is to “Diaper Bomb” them! Recently, a friend of mine had her third baby and we did this for her. She absolutely loved it!

Here’s all you need to do:

  • Find out who wants to contribute to the “bomb” and organize. Each person should pick a different size, and if there are lots of people, I suggest doubling up on the more popular sizes like 3 and 4.
  • Head to Sam’s Club and take advantage of the amazing diaper/wipes deal that I mentioned above. One person can go for the group, or people can round up their diapers individually!
  • One person should gather all the diapers and sneak over to the recipient’s home to deliver the “Diaper Bomb”. Once the diapers are nice and stacked outside the door, ring the doorbell and bail! (Kind of like Ding Dong Ditch, remember that craziness?)
  • Voila! You have a HAPPY mama, trust me. (Obviously, if you aren’t local this can be done via shipping, too!)

I love this idea for any new mom, but especially for the third-time mom who can’t even remember to prepare for her new baby. (Hint hint. HA!) Have you ever heard of a “Diaper Bomb”? What do you think about the idea?
