TGIF! Since it’s Friday evening, I thought I would post a date night look with a classic LBD. Now that I have had two babies, my definition of a little black dress has shifted somewhat, but that doesn’t mean I can’t wear something that’s chic WHILE being modest and comfortable.

This dress from Pink Blush has the most adorable pleating. You know what else is awesome about pleating? It camouflages lumps and bumps. My midsection is my biggest issue, so the empire waist definitely helps to accentuate my natural waist (what I have left of one). Ha!
Let’s talk about these shoes. I am a long time Sole Society fan and they have won me over again with these. I have yet to find this style of shoe that is comfortable on my feet. The heel is usually too tall, the back of the heel rubs my foot, and the toe strap is constricting. Not these, ladies! The heel is the perfect height without being a stiletto, or too tiny like a kitten heel (which I loathe). The toe strap is the CUTEST calf hair cheetah print. I instantly feel sexy in these shoes and can’t wait to pair them with my tulle skirt or my jeans!
You can see that it didn’t take much to get ready for date night. It usually doesn’t. Not because I wouldn’t love to waste spend an hour getting glam, but let’s be honest- I don’t have time. Therefore, a timeless dress with beautiful detail eliminates the need for overwhelming accessories or makeup. I simply added the fun printed shoes and wore my same old basic jewelry. Voila! Date night ready. The best part? It’s a well fitting dress that is also comfortable, because no matter how good I look- I need to FEEL good. AMIRIGHT?! Happy Weekend!
