When Charlie hit the two and a half mark, she started sleep regressing. We have no idea why. She just decided that sleep wasn’t going to be her thing anymore. Up until that point, she hadn’t been in her own big girl room. (Who’s been around since this room reveal or this one?!) She was still in a crib, because she truly did not seem ready for a bed. She is my wild child, and needed the confinement of the crib (or so I thought).
I started playing with the idea of her needing her own special space. We had pretty much tried everything else, so I decided that would be the next step and that we should make it a really special process and her “gift” for her third birthday. I asked her what colors she loved, and not surprisingly she said “pink”. I created an inspiration board with everything I planned to put in the room, and it looked perfect.
With that, I started shopping and began creating the perfect big girl room!
We went with a double bed with a My Green Mattress, so that if we have company her room can be a temporary guest room. And, guys, trust me- her room is the best room in the house now. No guest will argue about sleeping there.
I was gifted the Baby Relax products featured in this post in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are mine.
I picked an adorable dresser and nightstand set that I felt was perfect for the feel I was going for. I went with the Baby Relax Miles Dresser and Nightstand in white. They are absolutely beautiful down to every detail. The brass drawer pulls and accents truly make these pieces look like heirloom furniture.
The dresser and nightstand are very well made and sturdy.
It took me about five minutes to assemble the nightstand and Tyler assembled the dresser in what seemed like no time, as well. The set would go with just about any decor style, as they are classy, chic, and versatile. You can find them on Amazon here.
I’m beyond obsessed with how her room turned out and how perfectly my vision came to life. Thanks for stopping by!
