Car Seat Safety with Chicco

Since it’s the last day of September, I wanted to share a quick reminder about Baby Safety Month; specifically, car seat safety! I partnered with Chicco to encourage everyone to double check information about car seat safety to ensure you are up to date on best practice. I know that since I had Grayson, the recommendations have changed immensely. I had to re-learn the standard. We all roll our eyes at the Facebook mom who corrects another mom for having their kid’s buckle too low in a photo, but I do encourage you to take a look and make sure you have a good idea of how to make sure baby is riding in the safest possible way! There is good reason to make sure your precious cargo is safe and sound. Check out a comprehensive safety guide HERE.

Chicco sent us the NextFit Zip convertible seat for review. GUYS. We need to have a moment for this thing. It is actually the Cadillac of car seats. A little back story, my husband is a car guy and a safety stickler (for the kids anyway, not so much himself), so we did a ton of research when I was pregnant with Charlie. We ended up with another high end convertible seat that we thought was the best. All I can say to you is this: READ REVIEWS FROM OTHER MOMS. No matter how much research I did, it didn’t matter in the end because it pales in comparison to the Chicco.

This car seat fits much better in my seat, has a wider, more balanced center of gravity and a feature that allows you to pull the anchor latches a lot tighter. It even feels more stable and safe than the other seat. It has several reclining positions and looks like something I would be really comfortable in!

The straps go up and down with a lever, so no more stripping the cover off to readjust those bad boys. Another bonus: the cover unzips for easy care and cleaning. I can’t say enough about this gem.

Make sure you catch up on all the latest safety recommendations and laws and have an amazing October!

I loved my Chicco seats! I have had both the Keyfit and the Nextfit. Amazing install for both seats. Super easy to get correct each time.

I too am a safety stickler for my little guy. I am that Facebook mom you talk about lol. But I also have experience with terrible car crashes where my baby was in the car. Once when he was 10 months old, and most recently at 3 years old. This most recent time he ended up with a skull fracture from the force of impact, everyone from the Poloce, Firefighters and Doctors all said it would have been much worse if he hadn’t be properly buckled and his seat installed correctly.

Now to get a bubble for our cars, or move out of Florida where people can not drive lol.
