The Blog Societies (Georgia) Holiday Mingle Recap

Earlier this year, I was thrilled to join Mireille (City Peach) in becoming a Georgia Representative for The Blog Societies. It sounds fancy, but we essentially just plan quarterly events and try to keep our local bloggers connected! Building community is right up my alley, so I volunteered for the job. Last weekend, we hosted our holiday mingle. It was such a success, that I really wanted to share all the details with you.We knew that since it was during the holidays, we wanted it to be extra special. We wanted something intimate and cozy, but also an excuse to wear a cute holiday dress. We also wanted gift bags for all the bloggers as a special Christmas treat.

Kitsy Rose PR was amazing in helping us secure The Mill Kitchen & Bar in Roswell, GA for our dinner spot. They pride themselves on their selection of “modernized southern comfort food”. Roswell is a good central location for everyone, and the restaurant had exactly the ambience we were going for. Our servers could not have been more wonderful and I don’t even know where to start with the food and drinks. They brought out their recommended appetizers, entrees, and desserts along with their signature holiday cocktails. We all enjoyed the bites family style, passing around the plates and trying everything. I am so bad at making decisions that I love this style of dining! Everything was heavenly, but my favorites were: The Poke Nachos (Asian style ahi tuna nachos), Trout (Local Blackened Trout with Sweet Potato & Sage Gnocchi), and the Bourbon Pecan Pie. I’m already ready to go back!

It was so nice to spend that time chatting with other local bloggers and getting to know each other better.  Everyone LOVED their gift bags, which were full of goodies from some amazing sponsors. HUGE thank you to:

iT Cosmetics | Essie | Spray Studio | Rose & Mae | Brittany Garner Design | Coton Colors | Sugarfina | Brin & Bell | START Planner

We had an amazing time and can’t wait to plan our next event! “Galentines” Day, anyone?
