Atlanta Family Photography By Miriam Hoffman Photography

It’s that time again! Family photo shoots are buzzing around social media in preparation for Christmas cards and the like. You might remember our past family photos (here and here). Since we are approaching the holidays, I was starting to think about searching Atlanta family photography and then something happened! Atlanta family photography found ME! Ha! But seriously, Miriam reached out to me to see if we could work together on a shoot and I glanced at her feed and squealed. With that, we made a plan.

I truly don’t know if I can find the words to encompass how much I love this year’s family photography.

First, meet Miriam of Miriam Hoffman Photography. In my line of work, I have met and worked with some brilliant photographers, but Miriam is in a league of her own when it comes to family photography. It truly takes a special type of photographer to dominate this niche. Family photos are stressful. Every mom will tell you that. There is so much to think about and plan and coordinate. Then, sometimes, a photographer will also leave it up to you to plan locations/posing/schedule and it’s just too much sometimes. You can imagine my delight when I realized that Miriam was no newb, and her professionalism and organization was at level 10. She was even voted into the Top 100 best Family Photographers in the WORLD. If you love photography that is emotional, classic, timeless, and bold- you will be floored by Miriam’s portfolio. Her Instagram account boasts some of her best work and gives a glimpse into her style and art form.

She told us exactly where to be and when (we shot at the gorgeous Barrington Hall in Roswell). Once we got there, she had a solid plan of how we would incorporate the kids on and off to ensure we got great combinations (and solo photos) of everyone. Part of the plan included getting the posed stuff out of the way FIRST before the littles got grumpy. (It probably doesn’t hurt that she has three kids under three!) She knew exactly how to get the kids involved and all the ways to elicit genuine emotion from each of us. And when we showed emotion? She clicked the shutter… at the perfect angles in the best settings. Is she a magician? I’ll let you decide.

These were just my favorites. It was obviously REALLY hard to narrow them down! If you are in the market for Atlanta family photography (or even family films- Miriam’s newest venture), get in touch with her!
