Anybody catch my Instagram stories about a week ago? If so, you know that I took both kids by myself out for the night to Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa, as a mini-staycation before their new sibling shows up and steals the show. In theory, this idea was amazing and made me Mom of the Year. In reality, it was mildly majorly stressful. I’m just being honest, here. I’m not going to pretend like I don’t wish I had gone and enjoyed this gorgeous resort by myself, but nonetheless, I did get to spend some time here and was very impressed. I am counting the minutes until I can go back!
The property itself is gorgeous and serene. It’s one of the more established resorts here in town. It bleeds class, sophistication, and magnificence. The golf course is host to many golf tournaments and events throughout the year and is well known to athletes in that world.
While there are rooms in the mansion, we were hosted in a villa, which was perfect for family. Just a few steps from the pool, we were able to access everything on the resort very easily and quickly while having plenty of space. We had a full kitchen, living area, and even a fenced back patio.
My kids would tell you that their time at the pool was the best part! The main pool area is stunning and lots of the locals I’ve met recommend visiting for a fun day away from home. We especially loved the complimentary water station and the ability to order lunch to the pool. These children wore their pregnant mama OUT, let me tell you.
I’m not sure how this trip will go down in their memories, I hope it was a blast for them. I was exhausted and vowed never to take them anywhere else alone while I’m this pregnant. Ha! I look forward to my next trip to Silverado, which will hopefully be a Mom’s Night Off trip, alone.
This overnight stay was given to me free of charge in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% mine.
