You guys might have seen on social media that I was at the Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos the week before last. That trip will have to be split into a couple of blog posts, because it was that packed with fun. I was invited to attend the Social Media On The Sand conference on a tropical island with a chance to listen to inspiring speakers and meet with brands in my niche. Did I mention I would be kid-free? Who would say no?! After five seconds on the resort, I knew I was in for a real treat. My four nights in paradise was nothing short of magical. Like any good millennial in 2018, one of the first things I wanted were great photo locations. (Heck, Trendera’s VP of brand strategy even talked to us about how some businesses are growing simply because of their ‘grammable walls and halls. Yep. For real.) Since I was kidless, I scouted the grounds (as much as I could with a crippled cohort)- and found some amazing photo opps at Beaches Turks & Caicos. I narrowed down the best eight spots at the resort to snap the perfect Instagram picture. Let’s jump in!
1. On a catamaran at sunset.
We took a sunset cruise on our first day at Beaches Resort upon the “Kitty Kat” Catamaran. This activity should be on your list of “musts” during the stay. Not pictured: the cocktails and 90’s hip-hop dance party enjoyed by a bunch of mom bloggers. Pictured: a stunning sunset over the carribean waters with Beyonce-esque wind blown hair.
2. A hammock next to the beach.
Meg and I scoured the property for a white hammock with no luck. (We later learned there is a mythical white hammock in the Key West Village, if you’re looking.) Next best thing? This black one that is steps away from the ocean. Adorable spot.
3. In the halls and lobby area of the French Village.
I actually stayed in the French Village and loved it’s classy, European charm. The clean lines and neutral tones were a dream for my aesthetic. Everything from the halls to the lobby itself is perfect for photos. Don’t miss the cute chairs by the fountain up front and the staircase across from the elevators.
4. On the beach by the turquoise water.
You can’t go wrong with the ocean in the background of ANY photo. The turquoise water of the Turks & Caicos Islands is something you have to see to believe. The Beaches Resort has a huge stretch of beach to get the perfect shot.
5. Under an arbor in the Key West Village.
I love that many of the rooms in this part of the resort are more like bungalows. They are set up for larger families and could seriously be a home away from home… but in the tropics. The white picket fences and arbors of greenery that sit out front are a great spot to snap a photo.
6. Next to the luscious landscaping literally anywhere.
I don’t think I have ever seen more well kept grounds on any property anywhere. The landscaping at Beaches Resorts are meticulously cared for. The actual photo opp spots are limitless because of this. Every few steps there are plants, flowers, and flawlessly manicured lawns.
7. Standing at the edge of one of the zero entry pools.
Pool photos can be hella awkward, and I have found that standing at a distance with only feet in the water is one of the best compositions. There is a zero entry pool in the French Village that’s perfect for this setup.
8. In front of this amazing sign.
The ultimate Beaches Turks & Caicos photo opp: this adorable sign by the water. I feel like this little spot behind the Italian village pool encompasses the whole trip. Can we just stay forever?!
As you can guess, there are probably 967 other great locations for photos, and the possibilities are endless. If you’ve landed here because you are planning a trip to Beaches, feel free to reach out with any other questions or tips!
